Introduction

What Velox is, what it is not, and how it fits into practical shooting

Welcome to Velox

Velox is a platform designed to help shooting clubs organize training sessions and matches more clearly, with less manual work and less confusion for everyone involved.

It focuses on everything around scoring, not the scoring itself.

That means Velox helps before and after the session, while existing scoring systems continue to handle match day scoring exactly as they do today.

Who Velox is for

Velox is built for:

  • Shooters, who want clear information, easy registration, and fewer last-minute questions
  • Range Officers (ROs), who want to know who is shooting, when, and under what conditions
  • Match Directors (MDs) and club admins, who want fewer spreadsheets, fewer messages, and fewer things to remember

You do not need to be technical to use Velox.

What Velox does

Velox helps clubs:

  • Publish training sessions and matches in a clear, consistent way
  • Allow shooters to register and select squads
  • Handle squad capacity and waitlists automatically
  • Share important information, files, and instructions in one place
  • Track attendance and round usage for administrative or regulatory needs
  • Export registration data to existing scoring systems

Velox is designed to reduce friction and manual coordination, not to replace people or processes that already work.

What Velox does not do

Velox does not:

  • Replace your scoring system
  • Change how scoring works on match day
  • Require internet access on the range
  • Replace ROs, MDs, or physical match organization
  • Enforce a specific workflow on clubs

If you already use a scoring solution such as PractiScore or ESS, you can continue using it exactly as before.

Velox fits alongside existing tools.

How Velox fits into a typical session

A simplified view:

  • Before the session
Velox is used to publish the session, handle registration, squads, files, and communication.

  • During the session
Existing scoring tools are used as usual. Velox does not interfere.

  • After the session
Velox can be used to mark attendance, track rounds, and export data if needed.

This separation is intentional.

A note on philosophy

Velox is built on a simple idea:

Clubs should not have to change how they run matches just to use better tools.

The goal is not to replace proven systems, but to modernize the surrounding experience for both shooters and staff, while keeping match day reliable and familiar.

What’s next?

If this is your first time using Velox, the next step is to create your first session.
